A house can need several dental appointments in one month, and rarely the same appointment twice. One person wants a check-up, another has a tooth that aches on cold water, and a child has never sat in the chair at all. Prime Smile Dental Clinic treats all of them from a single clinic inside Casey Medical Centre in Clyde, where Jonemson Perez opened the practice in 2023. Lynbrook is one of the suburbs it serves, and there is a separate page for a dentist in Lyndhurst. Whether you want a dentist for a clean, a crown or a tooth that cracked overnight, the first visit does the same two jobs. It works out what is going on, and what putting it right would cost.

Whoever in the House Needs Seeing, This Is the List
Which parts of the list you need depends on who is coming in. Dental demand in Lynbrook, in south-eastern Victoria, is described locally as running from young families through to seniors at a retirement village. A list serving that span has to reach children’s dentistry at one end and restorative work at the other, with the everyday check-ups and fillings most people book sitting in between.
What you can book at Prime Smile Dental Clinic:
- Check-ups and cleans, in-depth examinations, X-rays and diagnostics
- Fillings, root canal treatment, tooth extraction and wisdom tooth removal
- Crowns, bridges, dental implants and veneers
- Full and partial dentures
- Braces, clear aligners and myofunctional appliances
- Teeth whitening and cosmetic treatment
- Paediatric dentistry, from a first visit onwards
- Sedation for anxious patients and for longer procedures
- Same-day emergency dental treatment
Two of those get fuller treatment on pages of their own: dentures in Lynbrook, and clear aligners and braces in Lynbrook.
The Dentists You See at Prime Smile Dental Clinic
Jonemson Perez opened Prime Smile Dental Clinic in 2023 to give the community around Clyde a general dental service, and it has worked from that one address inside Casey Medical Centre ever since.
Every dentist here holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from an accredited university and is certified by the Australian Dental Council. They are general dentists, and general dentistry covers the routine and restorative work this list is built on, which is why one team carries all of it. The dentists you are likely to see are Dr Mary Roneth Perez, Dr Lakshmi Pavan, Dr Afreen Nikhath, Dr Simi Dhaliwal and Dr Gurleen Sekhon. The about page sets out where each of them trained.
Preferred Providers
Children’s Visits, and What Changes as They Grow Up
If it is your child’s first time in a dental chair, the appointment is mostly about them deciding the room is fine. Paediatric dentistry here is set up around that: an unhurried look, an explanation the child can follow, and nothing frightening in the first visit. The rooms were purpose-designed to be bright and welcoming, which does more for a nervous child than any amount of reassurance in the car park.
eligible children up to 17 can use Medicare’s Child Dental Benefits Schedule, which covers a set list of general dental services. If you are not sure your child qualifies, say so when you book and it can be checked before the appointment.
The questions change as they get older. Adult teeth arriving crowded, a chipped front tooth that needs looking at today, the first real conversation about braces or clear aligners: all of it stays with one practice, and so do the X-rays and notes behind it.
Check-Ups, Cleans and the Repairs That Follow
A check-up and clean is where most new patients start, and it is the appointment that finds things while they are still small. The examination covers teeth, gums and any existing work. X-rays and diagnostics show what looking alone cannot: decay between teeth, the bone around a root, a problem that has not started hurting yet.
Whatever it turns up is explained to you before anything else happens. A single filling is finished in one sitting. Where several are needed, the work can be staged, urgent teeth first and the rest booked out over the following weeks. After that you settle into whatever recall interval suits your mouth, which is all preventive care really means: coming back often enough that your dentist catches the next thing early.
When a Tooth Needs More Than a Filling
Some teeth are past a filling by the time they start hurting. Root canal treatment saves a tooth whose nerve has become infected. Where a tooth genuinely cannot be kept, extractions and wisdom tooth removal are done here too.
What goes back in its place is the next conversation. A crown rebuilds a tooth that has broken down, a bridge spans a gap, an implant replaces a tooth that is gone entirely, and a denture covers several at once. Veneers, teeth whitening and the rest of the cosmetic work sit alongside the restorative side of the list, because a tooth that is both damaged and visible is one problem, not two.
Longer treatments run across several visits. How many, and in what order, is worked out at the planning stage.
If Nerves Are What Has Kept You Away
Fear of pain is one of the concerns patients raise with us most often, and the moment to mention it is at the booking, not once you are lying back. Said on the phone, it changes how the appointment is set up.
Sedation is available for patients who need it, and for longer or more complex procedures. Dr Jeff Field, an anaesthetist, is part of the team and supports that work.
One clarification is worth making, because dentistry uses the word sleep loosely. Sedation at this practice is about comfort during dental treatment. Appliances for snoring and sleep apnoea belong to a different field of care and are not part of what Prime Smile offers.

Paying for Treatment, and the Routes People Use
Cost is the thing most patients want settled first, and the honest answer is that it follows the examination. Once what you need is known, the options are set out with the cost against each one, and nothing begins until you have agreed to it. Ask for current pricing when you get in touch.
More than one route can run at the same time, on top of cash or card:
- Preferred provider arrangements with private health funds. Bring your card, and what comes back depends on your level of cover and how much of the annual limit is left.
- Medicare’s Child Dental Benefits Schedule, for eligible children up to 17.
- Afterpay and Zip, which turn a single bill into scheduled instalments.
- Payment plans arranged through the finance companies the practice partners with.
- Early release of superannuation towards major treatment. Approval is slow to come through, so raise it early.
Opening Hours, and Three Ways to Get an Appointment
The clinic is open seven days:
- Monday to Friday: 9am to 6pm
- Saturday: 8am to 6pm
- Sunday: 9am to 3pm
Saturday runs a full day and Sunday runs through the middle of the day, so an appointment need not cost anyone a day of leave or a day of school. Online booking on this site works at any hour. During opening hours the phones are (03) 592 922 53 and 0477 138 908, and email reaches the practice at info@primesmiledentalclinic.com.au. For pain that started today or a tooth that has broken, the phone is the direct route to a same-day emergency appointment.
Where to Start When It Is Not Just You
You do not have to work out the order yourself. Book whoever is most uncomfortable first, and the rest of the house can be picked up from there.
Ring (03) 592 922 53 or 0477 138 908 in clinic hours, or pick a time through the booking form on this site.

Prices, Medicare and How Often to Come In
What is the average price of a dentist?
An average is not much use as a number, because an examination and clean, a filling, a crown and a course of implant treatment are different orders of work. Three things move the figure for you: which treatment you need, how much of it you need, and what the X-rays show. All three are known by the end of the first appointment. Ask for current pricing when you ring.
Why is dental not covered by Medicare?
Medicare was built around medical care, and most dental treatment sat outside the scheme from the start, so adult dentistry in Australia is largely paid for privately. Two openings exist in that. eligible children up to 17 can use the Child Dental Benefits Schedule, and state-run public dental services treat concession and health care card holders. Everyone else relies on private cover, instalments or a payment plan.
How can I fix my teeth if I don't have money in Australia?
Fixing teeth on a tight budget starts with the examination, because a staged plan is manageable in a way one large bill is not. The urgent work goes first and the practice schedules the rest. Private health cover, Afterpay, Zip, a payment plan or early release of superannuation can each carry part of it, and eligible children have the Medicare schedule behind them.
What is the 2 year rule for dentists?
A two-year rule is not something Australian dentistry runs on. The two-year period people are thinking of belongs to the Child Dental Benefits Schedule, whose benefit for an eligible child is calculated across two calendar years. How often you should be seen is a clinical judgement: gum health, decay history and what the last examination found all move the interval.
